Bugs aren’t just fascinating creatures—they're also amazing first pets for children and adults alike. They teach responsibility, patience, and appreciation for the natural world. Unlike traditional pets, they require minimal space and care, making them perfect for small homes or busy lifestyles.
In places like the U.S., isopods (pillbugs) have an enormous community of hobbyists discovering and breeding new morphs and colors. Australia, on the other hand, is a fresh slate, with undiscovered species and unique color variations waiting to be found. Month by month, our small but passionate community of enthusiasts is growing, making new discoveries and pushing the hobby forward.
Beyond pets, our wet specimens and taxidermy pieces serve an educational purpose—helping people connect with science, history, and the delicate balance of life and death. There’s something special about preserving what would otherwise be lost and giving it a second life as an art piece or teaching tool.

I’m a young autistic woman with two lifelong special interests—bugs and art. Bad Juju isn’t just a store to me; it’s a massive life change and a chance to fully embrace what I love. Every art piece sold on this page is created by me, meaning that when you make a purchase, you’re directly supporting the artist behind the work.
